Anusia Crawford – AR Massage and Beauty Therapy

Hiya! I’m Anusia also known as Noosh. I have an NQ and HND in Beauty Therapy and have been working as a therapist for 17 years. While enjoying doing beauty treatments, I have always had a great passion for massage. I do deep tissue, swedish, aromatherapy, pregnancy and hot stones massage. I always go to the pressure that the client is comfortable with. The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews was where my beauty career began, I then worked in a busy city centre salon and now work at the hub and part time in a spa.
I love my job and feel it gives amazing job satisfaction. I like to make people feel good and after a massage or any Beauty Treatment, they do. I get a wee thrill because I have helped the client to feel that way.
The BMS Hub is such a lovely place to work, so relaxing and chilling! The scenery is amazing and such a tranquil place to have treatments.
I will be working here on a Tuesday, the treatments I am excited to offer will be massage, reiki, reflexology, hoping to introduce facials and some beauty treatments too.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my bio! I am a very positive, happy and caring person, and have a good listening ear. If you would like to book an appointment you can contact me on 07789202856. Hopefully see you all soon, take care and stay safe. X x

Alison Binnie Counselling

My name is Alison Binnie and I am a Pluralistic Counsellor with a range of experience using various different approaches in counselling including person-centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I have a MSc in Counselling and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am currently counselling at Insight Counselling in Dundee and the Body Mind Soul Hub in Monikie. I was a Community Education Worker for many years, and I have also worked for a children’s charity as a mediator, at Dundee College as a vocational tutor and latterly set up and ran a local business with my husband.

I have experience in working with people dealing with anxiety, depression, low mood, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, work related stress, suicidal ideation, self-harm, bereavement, end of life, relationship/family issues, anger management, childhood sexual abuse, emotional issues related to menopause and general issues in dealing with change, life transitions and emotional difficulties in general.

I offer face to face counselling in the Body Mind Soul Hub, online counselling via Zoom and also ‘walk and talk’ counselling, where we conduct our sessions outdoors in the beautiful Angus countryside. I can provide short term therapy to equip you with immediate coping strategies or long term continued support, whichever suits you. I have experience of working with young people aged 14+ and adults.

Coming to see a counsellor can be a daunting decision, but in the BMS Hub you will find a warm welcome and a safe, non-judgemental place to talk. I offer a free initial consultation at the Hub to discuss what it is you would like to focus on and more importantly to let you decide whether I am the right counsellor for you – do you feel that you could talk freely to me, are we a good match? If I am, we will work together to identify what it is that has brought you to see me, what you would like to achieve and then to identify ways in which we can work together to accomplish this.

If you would like to get in touch you can email me on 07985 213132 or email me at ab-counselling@outlook.com

Brian Morrison Ruadh Consultancy (Business Therapy – friendly advice and a listening ear for those experiencing business worries)

Hi, my name is Brian and I live with my wife Sharon and 2 daughters Ellie (2 legged) and Lexi (4 legged) in Inverbervie. We moved from Aberdeen to Bervie 13 years ago and love the village and its sense of community.

When I’m not spending time with my family, my other real passion is hillwalking and the outdoors.

I left school at 16 and went to study at college and after getting my qualification joined the workforce at 17 through the YTS in the oil industry where I spent the best part of 19 years involved in various roles including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and forecasting, contract compliance, audit, contractual analysis and vessel management to name but a few!

I then decided around the time of Ellie’s arrival to completely change my job and the industry in which I worked (because a new-born wasn’t enough of a challenge!) and spent 12 years in the banking sector as an auditor.

The main challenge with the role was to quickly and effectively determine how a company operated both financially and administratively causing minimal impact on their day to day operation and equated to spending more than 20,000 hours. This took me to all shapes and sizes of business up and down Scotland.

During this time, I advised customers of issues which arose as a result of assessing and analysing systems and processes with a view to helping them understand why they may have been experiencing difficulties.

When I decided it was time to move on, my big “why” for starting the company was to pass on experience and knowledge to help businesses out there who in many circumstances have difficulties growing and improving and may benefit from an impartial view of their operations. As most self-employed people can relate to, it can be a lonely endeavour and having a non-judgemental discussion with a 3rd party can also improve your confidence with day to day challenges.

I’ve highlighted the following as areas of expertise – business coaching, auditing, contractual analysis, dispute resolution and credit control, however these are just a few examples of the types of service I can provide.

All assistance is tailored to suit individual requirements to ensure the best outcome and discussions are treated with discretion.

I can offer the resource, advice and planning to improve performance and efficiency, help identify problems and provide the experience and skills to deliver answers to the business. Contact Brian on 07759 074560 or email brian@ruadhconsultancy.com

Anne Murray – Reiki Healing and Meditation

I was brought up and have lived in the Montrose area all my life. On leaving school at eighteen, I moved to Dundee and studied nursing at Ninewells Hospital and qualified as a Registered General Nurse. Throughout my working life I have had several jobs apart from nursing, mainly involved in the care of elderly people. I worked in a local day care centre and also cared for and supported the elderly in their own homes – all jobs I have found very rewarding.

I love animals and volunteer at a local Cat Protection Centre. I enjoy walking and spending time in the countryside. I also enjoy taking time to meditate and like to promote the benefits of meditation and living mindfully. I run a weekly guided meditation class in Hillside Village Hall.

I discovered Reiki in 2000 when my 4 year old son was ill. After many tests and medication, we could not get to the cause of the problem. Overhearing a conversation at a friends house, I heard about Reiki for the first time. After asking a few questions, i decided we had nothing to lose by giving it a try – and the rest, as they say, is history!

And so, my journey and learning about Reiki began and I completed my Reiki Master course in 2006. I practice Reiki from my treatment room at Ferryden and I also teach Reiki Level 1 & 2.

Anne teaches Reiki Level One and Two at the Hub and offers occasional Relaxing Sunday Reiki sessions as well.

Beverley Gibb – Kingennie Associates

My name is Beverley Gibb and I have been coaching for the past 10 years and am very excited to be joining the team at the Body Mind Soul Hub where I will be offering personal transitional life coaching.

Coaching can help with many things, such as career change, life changes, health and wellbeing, relationships, work/life balance or lack of fulfilment.  Coaching takes you on a journey where I travel with you side-by-side, helping you to make the changes that you may have been putting off for some time. Or, more than ever now, with the current Covid-19 Pandemic, many people are being faced with having to make unexpected changes in their lives.

Coaching is all about you and it starts with you at the centre.  You are the driver on your journey and I am beside you, helping you navigate by holding the map.  You are in control of the speed at which we travel.

I was first introduced to the concept of coaching in an organisational and community development setting.  However, at that time I was suddenly faced with some major challenges in my own life, where I felt like I didn’t know which way to turn or what to deal with first.  I believe that having the experience of coaching and being coached myself, helped me to deal with the overwhelming mountain I felt I had to climb and I fully believe that I wouldn’t be where I am today if it was not for this approach.

I feel so passionately about how it helps me to cope with life’s challenges and how it has changed my approach and mindset, that I decided to take a leap and change my own career, so that I could use my experience to help others.

I bring a blend of coaching skills and tools as well as lived experience, backed by many years of professional experience working with organisations, communities and small businesses across the Angus and Dundee areas, empowering people to work towards their aspirations and goals, as well as working in leadership and management roles.

I see my coaching style as part of a holistic approach to overall wellbeing.  To add to my coaching toolkit, I have been studying physical fitness and am a Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor and am currently working towards my Level 3 Personal Training Diploma, as I aim to offer this as part of my coaching packages in the future.  Physical exercise has been proved to contribute to good mental health and wellbeing and gives us more energy to be able to face life’s ups and downs and help to give us a gain a clearer perspective on our situations. In the meantime, I can offer the option of outdoor/walking coaching sessions.

I am a member of the Association for Coaching and work within the AC Coaching Competencies Framework and my practice is aligned to the International Coaching Federation’s core values and code of ethics. I am also a member of the Mindful Talent Coaching Academy, Mindful Talent Tribe and Cutting Edge Coaches which allows me to keep up with continuous professional development.

If you are unsure of what coaching is or whether coaching is right for you, please don’t worry, I offer a free initial discovery session, where we will have a chat about what coaching is, how it could work for you and how we could work together.

To find out more or book an appointment, please get in touch either by emailing me at Kingennieassociates@outlook.com or phone 07814 423048.

Paul Wain Reiki

Hi, I grew up in Stoke on Trent, where I did an engineering apprenticeship and worked in the tyre manufacturing industry. My passions were rugby, hillwalking, and photography. I moved to Dundee at 24 and continued to work in industry and follow my interests until I took early retirement.

Reiki initially crossed my path nearly 30 years ago and helped me to deal with some difficult and stressful life challenges by giving clarity of thought and generating calmness. Following this I completed my Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 training, then went on to give Reiki to family and friends.

Following my retirement, a couple of years ago, rather than it being a relaxing time, I found the loss of sense of purpose and various personal challenges led me to a massive change in my life’s direction. I found comfort in talking in an informal, non-judgmental, male environment within Andy’s Man Club. At this time Reiki became prominent again in my life, and I discovered the benefits of meditation.

I have been doing Reiki again for about 18 months now and am working towards my Reiki Masters to enable me to teach, whilst continuing my practice at the hub in Monikie.

The Body Mind Soul Hub is such a beautiful place to deliver all the holistic therapies it has to offer, a sense of homely calmness greets you as you enter the grounds and facility. In the current difficulties you can feel safe in the level of Covid awareness that Morna and the team have generated.

A warm welcome awaits you.

Lisa-Marie James – Unearthing Alignment

My name is Lisa-Marie and I have spent the last 8 years building my Holistic business Holistic Cascades, now known as Unearthing Alignment. This journey started after I joined NYR Organic as an independent consultant which is the direct selling arm of Neal’s Yard Remedies.

I decided to build a large community of holistic practitioners through sharing quality ethical products that I am passionate about. Offering monthly team support and running corporate events I then became a Frontline Leader with the company. I went on to train as a massage therapist to give my customers a treatment experience of the Neal’s Yard Remedies products.

This proved a great way in helping people to make any lifestyle changes and to combat things they were struggling with. I am passionate about helping others face and work through any challenges that they may be experiencing in their everyday lives.

I trained over 3 years in Reiki and Crystal Healing and have been teaching courses for the last 5 years. Since travelling around Australia on a working holiday visa in 2007 I had been inspired by bush flower essences and the power of nature for healing.

I run regular meditation groups, love sound therapy and am particularly interested in aboriginal instruments and crystal singing bowls. I have been offering monthly spaces such as reiki shares, mindful walks, create your own product evenings, creative events and vision board workshops. I also give readings to offer guidance to others, am very passionate about working with the senses through essential oils and love holding dedicated space for others to grow.

I found my calling from a young age was to help people. My true purpose in life was discovered 14 years ago when my mother passed away suddenly, I knew from that moment there was more to life and that I was going to commit to learning and experiencing life as much as I possibly could.

Since this experience I fully committed to doing my own research and experiencing an intuitive led life on this earth plane. The second awakening came when my father passed away, grief was able to offer me skills and strength I never knew I had, I discovered so much about myself and it provided me with life-long gifts and talents of turning pain into power and I remain grateful for that.

I will be running Crystal Healing Level One Courses from the Body Mind Soul Hub.

Heather Watt (MAR) – Heather’s Reflexology

I grew up in the highlands moving to Angus in 1994 to work for Guide Dogs for the Blind. After 9 years working with these amazing animals, I left to focus on bringing up my 3 children.

I have always been interested in holistic health and complementary therapies. Over recent years the need for a comprehensive approach to health and wellbeing has been brought sharply into focus as myself, family and friends have dealt with health challenges.

I am a fully qualified Clinical Reflexologist and Reiki Practitioner and have recently introduced Crystal Reflexology into my practice. The cornerstone of all these therapies is working with life energy, also known as chi or ki, to bring about balance and clear blocks to allow natural healing whether mental, emotional or physical, to occur. It is truly amazing to be able to share the benefits of these wonderful therapies and empower people to take control of their wellbeing.

Paula Kenneth MSc MBACP – Authentic Counselling

Welcome to Authentic Counselling. I am a Pluralistic Counsellor based in Carnoustie, Angus. As a Pluralistic Counsellor I hold the view that different things work for different people at different points in their life and that no client’s experience is the same. I utilise methods and techniques from a number of different modalities in order to best meet the counselling needs/preferences of the clients whom engage with my service.

I completed my Masters in Counselling in 2016. I have 5 years experience in generic counselling working with clients affected by issues related to anxiety, depression, self-harm/suicide ideation, anger, relationships, abuse, gender, sexuality, BPD, bipolar, Asperger’s, ADHD etc. I have 3 years specialist training in domestic abuse and trauma recently co-facilitating the NHS Survive and Thrive Course. I work
with both individuals and couples.

I recently completed the Children’s Matters Course which equipped me with the skills to work with children from the age of 4 utilising creative techniques and attachment theory.

Authenticity is a key part of how I work. I feel that by being myself I encourage clients to be themselves. I aim to create the type of space where someone can be his or her authentic self, at least for a hour. Hopefully they will struggle a little less with showing others that version of themselves outside of the therapy room.

Gillian Simpson – The Little Nutrition Company

When Gillian encountered digestive problems in her thirties, she looked for a natural route back to health and was truly amazed by the results. Until that point, she had followed a typical Western diet and had no idea the impact it was having on her health.

What ensued was a passion for the power of food and a new career path. Gillian retrained as a Nutritional Therapist with the College of Naturopathic Medicine and four years later, Gillian founded The Little Nutrition Co. offering nutrition education and advice in the form of talks, workshops and one-to-one consultations.
