The Kindness Initiative

It is with much sadness that we have had to cancel the kindness initiative for 2020.

‘If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded.’ #MayaAngelou

Here at The Body Mind Soul Hub we believe acts of kindness are important for wellbeing. Kindness has a positive impact on both the giver and receiver. So that’s why we are launching our ‘Kindness Initiative‘, where local businesses are invited to make a contribution of just £50 to provide an unpaid carer in Dundee or Angus with an hour of much needed self care at The Body Mind Soul Hub.

Unpaid carers really are the unsung heroes of our communities. Whether caring for elderly relatives, children or loved ones with disabilities or long term illness; caring can be a demanding responsibility – often with very little relief or respite available. Carers give so much of themselves and are virtually invisible, so we think it is important that collectively we join together to help some of them get a little time back just for themselves.

We are inviting local people to nominate unpaid carers in their community who they believe deserve a bit of pampering, while we approach local businesses for sponsorship. We hope that enough businesses agree to make a contribution of £50 (although larger contributions are always welcome!) so that a different carer can come to The BMS Hub each month throughout 2020 to enjoy and benefit from a paid for therapy of their choosing. £50 should cover the cost of the therapy with enough left over to enjoy a coffee and cake afterwards.

Businesses that offer sponsorship will not only benefit from the feel good factor that comes with an act of kindness, they will also be eligible for a sponsorship package that includes:-

  • A photo opportunity with the carer (or carers) who have benefitted from their contribution, along with a positive quote and note of thanks from The BMS Hub, that can be used on social media channels.
  • Promotion on The BMS Hub’s own website and social media channels.
  • Inclusion in any press releases for local and national media regarding the initiative.

We really hope you will consider becoming part of our “Kindness Initiative” . Together we can make a real difference to the lives of some of the unpaid carers in our area.

For local businesses who are interested in investing in the physical and mental wellbeing of their employees, we would be happy to discuss with you how The Body Mind Soul Hub might be able to support the health and wellbeing of your staff. We can offer a range of therapies, either here at THe BMS Hub or at your place of business. For example, Massage or Pilates classes are great for people who have physically demanding jobs or spend a lot of time at their desks. Our Personal Training and Fitness sessions, Yoga workshops and Guided Meditation classes are ideal for stress relief and refocusing the mind. We can also run Physiotherapy and Osteopathy Clinics, give informative talks on Health, Diet and Nutrition and offer Sound Baths, Art and Creative Wellbeing classes or Mindfulness sessions.

Every single 100% Natural Holistic Therapy we offer can help realign and bring balance to anyone. All our modalities have the potential to reduce absence through illness or stress and help to boost employee productivity.
